This marks an extraordinary achievement: four consecutive years as our Pub of the Year.
The Lodge continues to set the benchmark for quality, consistency and community spirit, offering an exceptional range of well‑kept ales and a warm welcome that keeps people returning time and again.
The presentation of the 2026 Pub of the Year certificate was both emotional and uplifting. The past year has been a difficult one for everyone connected with The Lodge, following the loss of much‑loved landlord Carl. His influence and passion for the pub live on in the atmosphere he helped create, and in the way Sarah has continued to lead The Lodge with strength, warmth and dedication. The celebration also supported fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK, a cause now deeply important to the Lodge community.
The Lodge Inn is now shortlisted for the Merseyside & Cheshire Regional competition — a testament to the resilience, commitment and community spirit that define this remarkable pub.
