Meet the Committee
We are a group of dedicated volunteers brought together by a shared passion for real ale, real cider and perry, and the great British pub. Our branch works throughout the year to support local breweries, celebrate the pubs that serve our communities, and promote the values at the heart of CAMRA. Everything we do is driven by enthusiasm for good beer, good cider and perry, and the places that bring people together.
You can learn more about how the branch operates below, the activities we organise, and the volunteers who help make it all happen.
What do we do?
We hold monthly branch meetings, rotating around pubs and clubs in our branch area. These meetings are where we catch up on what is happening locally and nationally in the world of beer, pubs and CAMRA. Officers share updates from their roles, we look at upcoming plans, and we talk through anything that needs organising or deciding. This includes how we can best support and represent our great pubs and brewers.
Although the Committee looks after the day-to-day running of the branch, every CAMRA member is welcome at our meetings. They are open, informal and a good chance to see how things work behind the scenes. Our membership and Committee are a diverse group of people with different backgrounds and interests, and we are proud to be a friendly and inclusive branch.
What happens at a meeting?
We run through the latest news, hear updates from Officers, suggest and plan social trips and give everyone the opportunity to raise ideas, offer feedback or propose changes. When something needs a decision, members present can vote.
The input of our members genuinely shapes how the branch operates and every voice is valued.
Come along and get involved
Whether you have been a CAMRA member for years or have only just joined, you are always welcome. Getting involved is a great way to meet fellow beer lovers, support local pubs and breweries, and discover how you can contribute to the branch and make a real difference.
👉 Members: Check out our Branch Diary for dates, venues and upcoming activities.
👉 Not a member yet? You are very welcome too. You can send us a message through our contact form, or simply come along to one of our branch meetings to say hello and share a beer with us. You will be greeted by friendly faces and a warm welcome.
