Merlin Brewing Wins Bronze in Champion Beer of Britain (Premium Bitters)
Congratulations to Merlin Brewing, whose Dragonslayer has won Bronze in the Premium Bitters category of the 2026 Champion Beer of Britain competition, North West, Merseyside & Cheshire Area round.
Judging for the Area round took place at our own Crewe Rail Ale Festival in September, where Dragonslayer faced stiff competition. Gold went to Innkeepers Special Reserve from Coach House of Warrington, with Silver awarded to Silk of Amnesia from Storm Brewing of Macclesfield.
Branch Chair Derek presented the award at the October Regional Meeting, held at Elworth Cricket Club.
